**Role Description**
This is a full-time Senior Accountant role based in Skopje with the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement, including opportunities to work from home. The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and prepare accurate financial reports. Key responsibilities include performing general ledger reviews, reconciling accounts, assisting in budgeting processes, and offering guidance to junior accounting staff. The role also involves liaising with external auditors and contributing to process improvements for streamlined financial management.
**Qualifications**
- Proficiency in financial reporting, financial analysis, and general ledger management.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principles (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time-management capabilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide junior staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA or CPA accreditation preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or related roles; experience in a senior accounting position or similar is an advantage.
- Experience in internal controls, tax compliance, or audit processes is beneficial.
