**Role Description**
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Tirana for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, managing accounts, ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations, and monitoring budgets and forecasts. Additional responsibilities include overseeing financial transactions, conducting audits, and working closely with other team members to improve financial operations and reporting accuracy. The role involves direct communication with auditors and regulatory bodies and requires a proactive approach to maintaining financial efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Month-End Close**
**:**
Perform, review, and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure accuracy.
- **Financial Reporting**
**:**
Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, P&L) and reports for management.
- **General Ledger**
**&**
**Reconciliations**
**:**
Maintain the general ledger, reconcile bank accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
- **Compliance & Audits:**
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls; assist with external audit preparation.
- **Tax & Payroll:**
Prepare tax returns (federal, state, local) and oversee payroll processing.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Experience:**
5+ years in accounting or finance roles.
- **Education:**
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- **Technical Skills:**
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Financa 5
- **Certifications:**
CPA or CMA designation is often preferred.
- **Soft Skills:**
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and effective communication skills.
