**The Role:**
BoConcept is building a new Tech Hub in Skopje and is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help strengthen the operational foundation of its global digital commerce platform. This role is ideal for a senior DevOps / Platform Engineer who enjoys building scalable cloud infrastructure, improving deployment reliability, and enabling high-performing engineering teams through automation and operational excellence.
You will work across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, security, and deployment processes while helping transition operational ownership from external agencies into an internally driven engineering organization. The role combines hands-on infrastructure engineering with platform thinking, operational maturity, and close collaboration with backend, frontend, and product teams.
**What you will do:**
**Cloud infrastructure & platform engineering**
- Design, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure environments
- Manage scalable and reliable infrastructure across cloud platforms and frontend hosting environments
- Improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, and operational maturity
- Contribute to infrastructure standardization and automation initiatives
- Support architecture discussions around distributed systems and platform scalability
**CI/CD & deployment practices**
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and release workflows
- Support safe deployment strategies and environment management
- Improve automation around testing, deployment, rollback, and recovery processes
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to streamline delivery processes
**Observability & operational excellence**
- Improve logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting capabilities
- Support incident management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
- Help establish operational standards, runbooks, and platform documentation
- Improve visibility into application and infrastructure performance
**Security & reliability**
- Implement infrastructure and deployment security best practices
- Improve access control, secrets management, and operational governance
- Support platform resilience, disaster recovery, and backup strategies
- Contribute to reliability-focused engineering practices
**Team collaboration**
- Work closely with frontend, backend, QA, and product teams
- Support engineers in improving deployment confidence and operational ownership
- Participate in technical discussions, hiring, and mentoring initiatives
- Help establish strong DevOps and platform engineering culture within the Tech Hub
**Must-Have Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)**
**DevOps & cloud infrastructure**
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience managing modern frontend/cloud hosting platforms such as Vercel
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Strong understanding of networking, CDN configuration, and distributed systems basics
**CI/CD & operations**
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience improving release reliability and deployment automation
- Strong understanding of production operations and operational best practices
- Experience with incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
**Observability & monitoring**
- Experience with logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting systems
- Understanding of infrastructure and application performance monitoring
- Ability to improve operational visibility and platform reliability
**Security & platform reliability**
